Need some help reenergizing?
Howdy folks!
Around this time last week, I was struggling with motivation and energy. Unfortunately, that continues to happen despite my best attempts. Something’s up – maybe a cold is coming. BUT! I have amassed a wonderful list of things to try when your motivation and energy levels are low. Thank you to all who sent some spirit energy last week. Below is a combo of what our buddies had to say and things I’ve found around the internet.
Mindfulness meditation is great for reconnecting with latent energy or remembering the reason behind why you’re doing what you’re doing. Mindful meditation can be done while sitting, walking, exercising, or doodling.
- Journaling to get a clear head from dumping all the thoughts onto a page
- Listening to inspiring or energetic music
- Playing games! Especially cozy games that can give your brain a break. Some suggestions were Stardew Valley, Palia, and Super Auto Pets

Btdubs, a couple newsletters ago now I mentioned I was working on the Space for Play starter guide. Well, it ended up being 21 pages and I’m like “who’s gonna read this?” Luckily, Brian Kerr’s latest Improve Something Today newsletter reminded me about the magic, role, and fun of ZINES. So, I’m challenging myself to condense 21 pages into 8 pages. Wish me luck lol.
